Clothing Manufacturing Company

Operating within the manufacturing industry, this client initially approached Alexanders for accounting services. Upon review of their unique situation, our accounting team offered the client valuable advice on compliance, group tax planning and international taxation. The outcome of this meant that an accurate depiction of the business’ real value was ascertained, which was invaluable in propelling the tax planning phase of proceedings. Inevitably, the outcome of this was that the client benefited from a taxation point of view, and exercised greater internal efficiencies when accounting for expenditure.

Our ongoing close relationship with the client, combined with the inter-disciplinary nature of our firm, allowed us to service them beyond their accounting requirements.

Upon consultation with our property team, a high level needs analysis for their business was conducted, which revealed a number of property opportunities. The outcome of the analysis led to the acquisition of a large premises which had the potential for further expansion. The purchase of a raw site for the development of a warehousing facility occurred, which was an ideal site for our client as it satisfied their specific requirements. After initiating the design phase, our property team commissioned a tender process for the warehouse’s construction. This made the overall interaction as convenient as possible for our client.

Our long term involvement with the client has resulted in our client being able to make the best decisions in relation to their property interests. This has saved them countless hours, and close to $900,000 in costs.

At the request of the company, our human resources team conducted an extensive HR review and implemented policies and procedures to improve internal processes and pinpoint areas that needed to be addressed. Part of this process involved providing each employee with a job description and set of key performance indicators (KPI’s) to promote efficiency and better organisation. As a result of this review, staff morale was improved, better systems of communication were established and the management team are now able to focus on the big picture issues.

However, our service provision to this client did not stop there. We were able to assist the client on a personal level by means of planning. This encompassed an overall insurance assessment for the client, as well as offering the client superannuation solutions and recommendations.

Overall, the client was overwhelmed by the offerings at Alexanders. In holistically catering for their business needs, we have developed a strong business partnership, which continues to flourish with the growth of the business.
