Key Dates for 2007

BAS Statements

  • Second Quarter September to December 2006 – Due 28th February 2007
  • Third Quarter January to March 2007 – Due Date 28th April 2007*
  • Fourth Quarter April to June 2007 – Due Date 28 July 2007*

* Please note for the third and fourth quarter that if you lodge your BAS through Alexanders electronically then there is an extension on Due Dates. These extension due dates for electronic lodgment are as follows:

  • Third Quarter – Due Date 12th May 2007
  • Fourth Quarter – Due Date 25th August 2007

If a company reports its activity statement on a monthly basis, the activity statement is due on the 21st of the next month. If the 21st falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday then lodgment will be due the next business day.  

Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT)

  • 21st May 2007 - Due date for 2007 FBT returns and payments

Income Tax Returns

  • 28th February 2007 – Due Date for newly registered companies.
  • 31st March 2007 – Certain companies are requested to lodge returns on this date
  • 15th May 2007 – Final lodgment for all other companies not previously requested

Please note, when a due date falls on a public holiday or non business day, the lodgment or payment due date will be the next working day. No penalty or general interest charge (GIC) will be incurred.

Please be aware that individual tax returns are usually due the same day that company income tax returns are due.
