Property: Rental Crisis a Bigger Problem Than Interest Rates

The Real Estate Institute of NSW has warned that tenants could suffer more from rising rents, than homeowners did from last year’s interest rate hikes unless action is taken to encourage property investment. The Latest Vacancy Rates survey by the REI NSW shows the rental crisis is spreading across NSW, making it harder for renting families to find a place to live. Read more...

Financial Planning: Protecting the Non-Working Spouse

In most families with dependant children, there is predominately a home maker and child carer who is not the primary income earner. Their support inside the family unit preparing meals, taking children to and from school, shopping for groceries and maintaining the family household is invaluable. The reality is that the financial worth of a home maker would be consistent with a full time house keeper / nanny who worked from 6.30am until 8.30pm, 7 days a week.
